Katie
Katie is a nearly 10yo FCR rescue girl. She was in a loving home for her entire life until circumstances dictated that they could no longer care for her. It's obvious that Katie is a well adjusted and outgoing gal. She is friendly with dogs and exhibits appropriate behavior with them, and she is very playful with the right companion! She loves people, attachs herself easily and especially enjoys being petted and loved, as well as playing a good game of fetch. Katie is a delightful dog who deserves the right forever home to live out her remaining years....and judging by how youthful she is now we're hopeful she has many left.
Katie will accept a crate but is not comfortable in one - the last time she was in one was as a puppy. It would be preferable that she could remain loose in the house or confined to an "open" room. She is happy to lay on her dog bed beside her human's bed to sleep at night. She is on Phenobarbitol to control seizures, the last of which was mild and nearly a year ago. Katie, as said above, is youthful and will require moderate exercise as well as lots of human companionship. She will be a great addition to the right family.
